Happy Friday beautiful. Hope you had a great week and wonderful Thanks Giving (if you celebrate) and enjoying the Black Friday sales. I have been good and haven’t fallen prey to any of the sales. Today I want to start a new makeup series on my blog called Makeup Lately. Since my Makeup Products I Can’t Do Without post quite a few products have changed. I have found products I loved and forgot about and have got some new products I have been liking a lot lately. So since makeup products keep changing I thought of updating you every now and then on what I’ve been loving lately with makeup.
Base: Benefit Porefessional, is the best primer I have ever used. Having oily skin any product that keeps the oiliness away for as long as it can is always a winner. This is what the Porefessional does . With the Porefessional I don’t need to reapply a setting powder to remove any shine on my face. This one product minimises pores, keeps shine far far away and helps my foundation sit pretty like it should. My foundation doing the rounds now and for a while is the Estee Lauder Double Wear. Another great product for oily skin. This foundation and primer work brilliantly together. What I love best about this foundation is that it doesn’t oxidise. It’s long lasting, light weight, buildable and doesn’t move around during the day. You see why it’s such a brilliant foundation.
Brows: I clearly don’t have the best brows. I have been trying a daily routine lately to get thicker brows. Since not having much to work it, I prefer to use minimum products. The less I use the better, which helps in not messing up. Just a brow pencil and setting gel are all I use and need. Due to not having greatly shaped brows, I do not do the concealer under the brow rule as I don’t think I need to highlight a feature I am not too fond of. For brow pencil, I have started to use the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow and I love this product. It is such an ultra-fine pencil which makes drawing hair like strokes a walk in the park. This is perfect for somebody that struggles with brows. It definitely adds some better shape and thickness to my brows. A full review is coming soon. For brow gel another Benefit Cosmetics product, the Ready Set Brows. A clear gel that helps keep your eyebrow hair in place for hours. This just helps bring the entire look come together.
Lashes: Another struggle is my Lashes. I need all the help I can get. Using a lash primer can make such a big difference. Lately, I have been using the Benefit They’re Real Tinted Lash primer. If you are blessed with gorgeous long lashes, this primer can easily be worn on its on for a natural fuller lash look. For me, I combine it with one of my top mascara’s the Maybelline Great Lash mascara. This small wand is like a magic wand for your lashes.
Lips: When it comes to lips, I do not fuss over lip liners too much. It all depends if I can be bothered with applying a lip liner. If I can get away with it am the happiest. There are a number of lip colours I have been lovely lately. As you can see in my Top 7 Autumn/Winter Lipstick. Today I picked the Bourjois Don’t Pink with It. A velvet matte lipstick. Don’t Pink With it is long lasting and not drying. Lovely pop of colour on these dark gloomy days.
Contour, Bronze, Highlight: A palette that comes with a bronzer, contour and highlight is always a winner for me. Having used the Barry M Contour Kit for such a long time I forgot about my Sleek Makeup Face Form Contour kit and how gorgeous the Highlight is in this palette. This is by far the best high street highlight. Just a slight touch on the brush and you get just the highlight you need. What makes this palette even more beautiful is that the contour/bronzer colour is perfect for your eyes too as a crease shade. I have been using this a lot as an eyeshadow too. A slight sweep of the contour colour across the lid, deepen the crease ever so slight with the same colour and then highlight the inner corner of my eye using the highlight shade. A Great palette to have.
